- 8 large fresh California figs, stemmed
- ¼ cup sugar
ProcedureArrange figs in large saucepot, and add water to cover. Heat to boiling, reduce heat to simmer for 20-30 minutes, or until tender. Add the sugar and simmer, 5 minutes more. Cool and store in container in refrigerator.
Serves: 4 (2 figs each)
